with that bead girl

easily addicted

May6

glass is an addiction for me. pure and simple. i’m addicted to melting it of course, but beyond that, i’m addicted to simply holding a rod of new color in my hands. (yes, i’m easily pleased).

and i’ve finally gotten into using CIM (creation is messy) colors after resisting it for so long. i mean, a girl can keep track of only so much glass. but after a customer requested some of CIM’s colors again and again, i made the choice to destash Bullseye’s colors and open up that space in my studio for CIM.

CIM has the yummiest, truest colors out there really, in a wide palette of hues. and they are constantly coming up with new, inventive colors to plug holes in the market. and good lordy, i just looked at a preview for late may’s colors and find this.

guess i better pay off my current glass debt so i’ll be ready to order again in a few weeks. i mean seriously!, look at that olive green. *sigh*

(p.s. comment on this post with your favorite preview color and there could be a surprise in your future ;) )

I think I’m looking forward to Phoenix the most. CIM melts so nicely for me… I only hope I can get the same colors out of Phoenix that the sample shows! :)

I’m not sure what I’m supposed to really comment on but I saw the word surprise in it for me and thought I should have a few words to say about my bead girl friend Amber. If you haven’t seen her stuff you should. If you’ve only seen pictures of her stuff, you are missing out. Amber is one of the most creative individuals that I have ever met, and not just in her glass, but in her life too. I think that that is why her beads are so beautiful, because each one has a little Amber in it, and you can’t beat a true artists creative eye. Keep melting the glass and holding the rod!
